Interview conducted by Odessa Neaman as part of the LDS Native American Oral History Project by the Charles Redd Center for Western Studies at Brigham Young University on June 11, 1990. Sekaquaptewa, whose father is Hopi and mother is Chinese, talks about growing up in Phoenix, Arizona. He talks about the family's conversion to the Mormon Church and his parents' divorce. He describes the role of culture in his life. He talks about his experiences as a Mormon and his mission experiences in the Arizona Holbrook Mission. He talks about his marriage to a Hawaiian. He describes his experiences as a Mormon and the role of Native Americans in the Mormon Church.
