Interview conducted by Margaret Cawood at Denver, Colorado on 26 November 1988. De Lio talks about his training as a radio operator and gunner and about bombing missions in the European Theater. He tells about being shot down over Germany, how he evaded capture for ten days, his imprisonment, and his 813 kilometer march in the spring of 1945 before being freed by American military personnel.
