This collection contains photographs, postcards, and loose pages depicting various interior and exterior views of early churches in the eastern United States. The collection was originally compiled by Louise Vincent (Mrs. Luke Vincent) Lockwood to be used as illustrations for a book by Aymar Embury entitled Early American Churches, published in 1914. Also included is a booklet by Rufus M. Jones entitled The Quaker's Faith.
