Dinanah Lyons, widow of John Lyons of Caroline County, Virginia, divided the property (slaves), left to her by her husband's will, among her sons John and Edmund Lyons and James and William Pickett for her daughters Elizabeth Lyons Pickett and Nancy Lyons Pickett. The articles of agreement were recorded on February 28, 1800 in Lincoln County, Georgia, Superior court deed book B-C, 1799-1803, p. 142.
