Domenico Mortellito was a designer, muralist and sculptor noted for working in plastics and other synthetic materials. Mortellito was born on September 1, 1906, in Newark, N.J., and graduated from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn in 1926. He then joined the studio of Mack, Jenny & Tyler in New York where he was employed until 1932.
