Correspondents include Jack Conroy and Joan London (daughter of Jack London). The collection represents the collaborative efforts of influential publishers, authors, artists, scholars, librarians, antiquarian booksellers, collectors, auctioneers, bibliographers, bookbinders, and private press operators.

Joan London was born in Oakland, California, in 1901, to Jack London (1876-1916) and his first wife, Elizabeth Maddern London.
