The personal files contain materials (primarily correspondence) relating to persons and organizations with which Quie maintained personal contact, activities in which he was personally involved, or issues in which he was personally interested. Although they are similar to the Central correspondence subject files (and some of the correspondence in them should be recorded in the Control correspondence and tracking cards), the personal files were maintained separately.
