Also included is one color photo of the Impellitteri family inside Gracie Mansion on Christmas day, 1951, and one small color snapshot of Impellitteri and General MacArthur.

Vincent R. Impellitteri was the 101st mayor of New York, serving from 1950-1953. Born in Sicily on February 4, 1900, he was also the first Itailian Mayor of New York. He attended Fordham University and received his law degree in 1924. After 5 years in private practice he became an assistant district attorney of the County of New York from 1929-1937.
