Harris Richardson papers, 1854-1939.

Promissory notes and personal memorabilia of this St. Paul (Minn.) lawyer; and legal papers (1929-1939) relating to an injunction to prevent the construction of dormitories in Minneapolis for the University of Minnesota. Promissory notes for 1854-1864 were collected by Richardson; his connection with them is not documented. Also present are two letters concerning a Republican party dinner for William McKinley (1884).

On Sept. 5, 1901 he and his wife were attending the Pan-American Exposition in Buffalo, New York when he was shot by as assassin waiting in line to shake his hand. Simeon Pease was born in Ascot, Canada, on December 27, 1819. He married Emeline Curts on March 9, 1846. He next married Julia A. Barnum on May 24, 1851, with whom he had two daughters. On October 23, 1860, he married Mary Gale Douglas, with whom he had a son. On October 26, 1876, he married Anna Louise Angier. Folsom died in 1888.
