Writs of election, 1892-1895.

These are writs issued by the governor to county sheriffs, ordering special elections to be held to fill legislative vacancies caused by death or resignation. Included are writs to fill vacancies in both the Kentucky General Assembly and the United States Congress, signed by the governor and secretary of state. Several of the records appear to be copies, and are unsigned.
