These papers pertain to his attendance at Stanford and include registration cards, his scholar's commutation ticket for the Southern Pacific Railway, notebooks from geometry classes, notes from a lecture on steam engines, a letter from Prof. Ellwood Cubberley urging him to return (1899), and Prof. Albert W. Ellwood Patterson Cubberley, professor and Dean of the Stanford School of Education (1898-1933; emeritus, 1933-1940), was born in Indiana. He received an A.B. from Indiana University and an M.A. and PhD. from Columbia University.
