A survey map by John E [vert?] Van Alen of a tract of land including the following Lots : Number 23, Ezra Nichols; Number 10, John J. William Lamb; Number 9, Asa Thayer; Numbers 7 and 8, John [Titchout ?]; and Number 2, Benjamin M. Johnson. This map appears to be located in Cattaraugus County, New York in the 9th Range, the north west corner of Town 4, Conewango. Lot Numbers 46, 47, 52 and 53 on the manuscript map correspond with Number 64 in the Burr Atlas of New York State, 1829, being a fork in the Conewango Creek. See also the deed of Asa Thayer's for Lot 7 in accession number 10254, Wilhelm Willink, deed books, v.28, page 4, dated March 7, 1833.
