This series consists of one binder containing minutes of meetings of the State Insurance Coverage Committee from 1985 Sept. to 1989 April, which met to consider the merit of insurance claims brought by or against state employees. Also included are minutes of meetings from 1985 Sept. to 1988 Dec. of the General Liability Trust Fund Board, which consisted of the State Finance Director, the Attorney General, the Insurance Commissioner, and the State Budget Officer. Topics discussed by the Board include: revision of the General Liability Trust Fund Program guidelines; exclusion of insurance coverage to state employees accused of sexual or physical abuse; introduction of legislation to provide state employees with statutory immunity; as well as law suits against the Ala. Dept. of Mental Health and Mental Retardation and against several employees of the State Highway Dept.
