ALsS and clippings, 1898-1936.

Forty-two letters (four with envelopes), one receipt, and six clippings. The letters, addressed to a number of friends and associates, deal principally with publication and criticism of his works and others' and with his duties in the British Museum Department of Prints and Drawings. Principal correspondents include Elkin Mathews, Victor Plarr, and Sir Michael Sadler. The clippings are newspaper obituaries and letters to the editor upon his death.
