Photocopies of three letters. 1. Kovno, 1891. Rabbi Isaac Elhanan Spektor, recommending Pinḥas Zeʼev Lippman of Kovno as a shoḥet. 2. Kovno, 1891. Lippman recommendation from head of shoḩtim in Kovno. 3. New York, 1893. Lippman recommendation from Rabbi Yakov Haim Vidervitz, former rabbi of Moscow who left after the expulsion from that city in 1891 and came to New York. The stamp on the letter says that he was the chief rabbi of the Agudat ha-Sephardim in NY. In later years he would claim to be the chief rabbi of America.
