Corporate records, 1868-1886.

Accounts and memoranda, mainly of grain purchases, printing agreements, and freight shipments, of this overland express and stage company which operated lines in Minnesota, the Red River Valley, Dakota Territory, the Black Hills, and western Nebraska. The company was begun by James C. Burbank in 1851 and was reorganized under the above name by Russell Blakeley, Cephas W. Carpenter, Peter Sims, and N. P. Clark in 1877. It ceased existence in 1891.
