Account books, 1797-1816.

Two account books, one clearly identified as belonging to Mary Mabbett the second is supposed to be from her. The first volume contains accounts between Mary Mabbett and the estate of Joseph S. Mabbett of which Mary was executrix. The second volume is a ledger book containing accounts of Mabbett and Stewart a mercantile business in the Albany, N.Y. area. This volume contains entries listing the source of debits and credits of persons who did business with the company. Specific information includes the date, the items purchased or services rendered and the amount. This volume is indexed by the last name of the individual with the account and dates from 1797 to 1808.
