These are incoming letters to Governor Charles Wickliffe which document administrative activities of the chief executive. Charles Anderson Wickliffe was born near Springfield, Kentucky, June 8, 1788. During the War of 1812, Wickliffe served as a private but was eventually promoted to aide-de-camp to Gen.
