Miles Nelson reminiscences, 1961.

Typescript reminiscences (1800s-1950) of this early settler in northern Minnesota. The memoirs recount Miles Nelson's youth on homesteads in Wisconsin, Kansas, and Georgia; his work in lumber and mining camps in Itasca and St. Louis counties during the early 1900s; his work as a chef for the Northern Pacific Railway; his homesteading experiences and participation in the establishment (1906) and development of Bearville Township (Itasca Co.), Minnesota; and trips he later took with his wife throughout the U.S. (1930 and 1950).
