Companion minute books of the committees on streets of the two branches of the city's Common Council: the Assembly and the Board of Aldermen. The minutes mainly detail council files that pertain to ordinances, resolutions, or petitions concerning topics related (sometimes very loosely related) to streets or transportation. Each entry ends with the committees' action on the file, usually in the form of a favorable or unfavorable report back to the Council. The two committees met at different times and did not always consider the same files.
