U.S. Centre Land Office - letterbooks, 1833-1856.

The series consists of copies of outgoing letters of the Receiver and Register of the Centre Land Office. The majority of the letters are from the Receiver to the U.S. Land Office and the U.S. Treasury. Most relate to accounting procedures and practices. Also included are letters from the Lebanon Land Office before it was moved to Centre in 1856. These records document the work of district land office Registers and Receivers.
