Tickler, 1837-1842.

The tickler seems to be a daily record of payments to the Branch Bank that were due and then paid for by check. Included are the date, the amount for protests against the Bank, the names of the individuals, firms or banks paying their checks, the amount paid, and the total checks paid on that day. This record might have served to keep bank officials aware of the payments of debts.
