Black education, state publications, 1915-1949.

This series relates to black education in Ala. Included are a report on the work of the Jeanes supervising industrial teachers and homemakers' clubs for black girls; rules and regulations, accreditment standards, courses and programs of study, and adopted textbooks for black secondary schools; an invitation to inspect an industrial exhibit in cooperation with the Jeanes and Slater Boards by black rural schools; and a study of higher education for blacks contracted by the Department to the University of North Carolina. Illustrated by photoprints, the series documents the department's activities in educating blacks.
