Correspondence, accounts, and statistics, and other records, of companies owned or managed by Jones, especially the Alleghany Iron Company, of which Ferral C. Dininny, Jr., was president. The Alleghany Iron Company operated pig iron furnaces and iron ore mines in Alleghany, Botetourt, and Rockbridge counties, Va., and coal mines in Chesterfield Co., Va. At various times Jones was also involved with the Old Dominion Tobacco Warehouse (Richmond, Va.) and the Richmond and Tidewater Coal and Railroad Company.
