Receipt book, 1796-1848.

Contains receipts for amounts paid by Delanoy to his landlords and creditors. Although many do not record the reason for payment, those that do indicate that Delanoy frequently moved, paying rent to several people at different times. He purchased several spinning wheels as well as foodstuff, real estate, and clothing. He paid state and local taxes and tuition. Delanoy appears to have delivered payments for other people. In the mid-1830s, the volume seems to have been used by a John Mildeberger to record rent payments made to him. During the 1840s, Benjamin Lewin used the manuscript as his receipt book.
