Primarily annual reports of the State Inspector of Graded Schools (1896-1920) and the State Inspector of High Schools (1894-1925), and the minutes of the Conference of High School Board Inspectors (1915-1921, 1924-1925). After 1924, the conference included the Inspector of Rural (Ungraded) Schools. The reports and minutes contain narrative reports on such topics as plans and schedules for inspection, criteria used to evaluate schools, curricula, equipment and textbooks, teachers, Education Department rules and regulations, principals, school buildings, school libraries, and office management, as well as statistical tables covering such categories as finance, taxes, supplies, enrollment, attendance, and aid.
