Assorted papers in bibliography in honor of Edith M. Coulter prepared and signed by the Class in Advanced Bibliography, 1949-1950; presented to Miss Coulter May 26, 1950. Contains short biographical sketch of Miss Coulter and bibliography of her work; bio-bibliographies of members of the Class of 1905 of Stanford University, the Class of 1907 of New York State Library School at Albany, the Class of 1924 of the University of California at Berkeley, and for graduates of the School of Librarianship, University of California, who have published books. Letters and snapshots pasted in. With this, a photocopy of Neal Harlow's Coulter lecture, The Present Is Not What It Was, 1964 (19 leaves).

Neal Harlow was born in Columbus, Indiana. He came to UBC as University Librarian in 1951, after serving in several positions at UCLA Library since 1945. His book The Maps of San Francisco Bay was published in 1950, immediately prior to his arrival at UBC. Harlow's tenure at UBC coincided with a period of considerable growth for the Library, including the building of the south wing of Main Library.
