Catherine Cline scrapbooks, 1931-1939.

Scrapbooks of Catherine Cline during 1931-1939, when she attended Miss Burke's School in San Francisco and then the University of California in Berkeley. Chiefly newspaper clippings on local society and sporting events, with later volumes including more local and world news. Scrapbooks include invitations, theater programs, correspondence, place cards, greeting cards, pressed flowers. Include ephemera relating to local businesses, Miss Burke's School, Galileo High School, 1932 Olympic Games, visits of southern California, Golden Gate Bridge opening and fair. Also include dietary instructions from Catherine's doctor, items relating to her father's work, and an acceptance letter from the University of California.

Catherine Cline was the daughter of Dolly and Alan P. Cline. Alan Cline worked for Certain-teed Products Corp. and later for Schumacher Wall Board.
