Correspondence among family members including Ela Collins (United States Representative, Lewis County N.Y.), his wife Maria and their children Emily, Edward C., Francis, Isaac, George, and William. William's correspondence, 1841-1890 contains political references. The collection also includes a printed copy of an 1848 speech concerning the bill to establish the Oregon territorial government. Also included in the collection is a limited amount of genealogical material and newspaper clippings.
