A collection of papers relating to DeWitt Clinton and his son George W. Clinton. Included are a letterbook, dated 1827-1833, of George Clinton; a letterbook, dated 1818-1823, of DeWitt Clinton's letters to his son George while George was attending Hamilton College; a collection of speeches, addresses and essays by DeWitt Clinton before a number of bodies including Masonic lodges, the Oneida County Agricultural society, and before various juries. Also included are papers, including correspondence, bills, telegrams and legal documents relative to the "DeWitt Clinton Vases." These vases were given to Clinton in 1825 by citizens in New York, N.Y. The collection also contains papers relating to the Clinton family genealogy, and a scrapbook containing newspaper clipping memorial and obituary notices of DeWitt Clinton.
