Interview conducted by Alan Cherry as part of the LDS Afro-American Oral History Project of the Charles Redd Center for Western Studies at Brigham Young University on 15 March 1988. Brooks tells of her early life in St. Louis, Missouri, her religious experiences, various marriages, and her children. She describes her conversion to the Mormon Church and her experiences as a black Mormon.
