The collection includes two ALS's from Clint at Brampton-Brian to "Sir" [Richard Thurgate] in which he discusses the purchase of T.J. Hogg's book, Life of P.B. Shelley, volumes 1 and 2. Includes remarks concerning Clint's acquisition of the volumes from his sister and her acquaintance with Mrs. Hogg.

Percy Bysshe Shelley (1792-1822), poet, was born at Field Place, Warnham, on 4 August 1792, and attended the Sion House academy at Brentford, and then Eton.
