Letters from Captain Rufus McIntyre to John Holmes of Alfred, Me., who was then a state senator and was later a United States Senator and attorney general. The letters were written from various locations throughout New York State during the War of 1812 and describe camp life, developments in the war and military actions with which McIntyre was involved. All letters have been fully transcribed.
