Letter, 1798 December 18.

Letter to Stephen Van Rensselaer regarding the repayment of a note. Van Rensselaer had sent a return letter to Macomb stating that $1000 towards the note was enclosed, but Macomb found no check. Van Rensselaer owed this note to Mrs. Macomb and was overdue in paying it and Macomb, acting as her agent, expressed a great desire to have the note repayed. Written at New York, N.Y.
