Hanson, Gerald M., 1930-

Gerald Hanson was born in Anaconda, Montana, in 1930, the son of Swen O. and Margaret Hansen. He served in the Army during the Korean War. In 1961 he briefly worked for the Butte, Anaconda, and Pacific Railroad, and then in 1962 went to work for the Anaconda Company smelter. He worked there until his retirement, and then from 1990-2001 was an employee of the Anaconda-Deer Lodge Historical Society. From the description of Gerald "Jerry" Hanson interview, 1994.
