Hooper, 1900-1903; minutes of Board of Trustees and Governing Committee; reports of the BIAS to Board of Trustees; minutes and some correspondence for numerous departments such as archaeology, botany, chemistry, engineering, natural history, psychology, and zoology, 1888-1940; other correspondence, 1932-1944; and monthly magazine, 1942-1955. Other material encompasses records of BIAS subdivisions. Includes minutes of Philharmonic Society of Brooklyn, 1857-1909; reports of its constitution and bylaws, 1857-1910; minutes of Women's Auxiliary, 1903-1915; and minutes of meetings and legal documents, 1939-1942. Minutes of Bell Chorus of New York, 1936-1944; publications of Brooklyn Academy of Music, 1938-1943; and correspondence of Brooklyn Society of Artists, 1937-1938. Brooklyn Botanic Garden records include minutes, 1931-1943; correspondence of Director C. Stuart Gager, 1938-1941; and two volumes of letters from students of the Children's Garden to honor their teacher, Ellen Eddy Shaw, on her 25th anniversary with Botanic Garden, 1938. Records of Brooklyn Children's Museum include monthly reports, 1900-1901; correspondence, 1903-1914; blueprints and correspondence relating to new building which was not constructed, 1912; and minutes and correspondence of Women's Auxiliary, 1939-1941.
