ALS (draft): Baltimore, to John Fitzgerald, 1796 Aug. 19.

In the opening of the letter Washington says he has been in the Federal City examining the public buildings under construction; most of the letter is concerned with the sale of some land to John Gill, who had been leasing it from him.
