Articles of agreement, 1797 Mar. 18, Philadelphia.

The agreement, between Morris of the first part and future investors of the second part, provides for the issue of ten thousand shares of stock and sets forth the terms governing its purchase and transfer; dividends; and the appointment and duties of officers. Attached is a schedule of all properties forming the company's assets, which were conveyed by Morris and his wife Mary to James Biddle and William Bell in trust for the company. Signed twice by Morris, and by witnesses Garrett Cottringer and George A. Baker and Matthew Irwin, master of rolls of Pennsylvania.
