One ALS to W.T. Johnson, who commanded the squadron of the twelfth Irregular Cavalry in Outram's advance on Lucknow , with subsequent letter (London, 1865) praising Johnson and signed by Robert Napier, chief of staff to Outram at the relief of Lucknow. One ALS to Lt.-Genl. Colin Campbell, Commander-in-Chief, (9 Nov. 1857) and a letter each to Combe? (18 July 1849) and Grant (1860?). With typed transcripts for the Johnson and Campbell letters.
