Leverett Circle bridge project files, 1962-1973.

The Massachusetts Port Authority (Massport), responsible for maintaining the Mystic River (later Tobin) Bridge from Boston to Chelsea, Massachusetts, was authorized by St 1964, c 682 to construct connections between that bridge and another high-level bridge to be constructed over the Charles River between Leverett Circle, Boston proper, and City Square, Charlestown, by the Metropolitan District Commission (MDC); cost of the project was to be divided between the two agencies. Project files were created by the authority's research/planning division in the course of interagency planning for the proposed bridge.
