Land settlement letters, 1792-1793.

A collection of letters addressed to James Wadsworth and John Greig, Morris' agents for the management of his land in the Genesee Valley of New York State. The letters discuss the sale of various parcels of land, efforts to induce settlers, plans for trips to visit the land and other matters relating to the management of the land. Included in the letters is a brief allusion to the location of 300 Germans to the valley, a brief discussion of an epidemic in Philadelphia, Pa., and a copy of Morris' power of attorney granted to John Greig. Morris also discusses business matters involving Ebenezer Allen.
