Deposition at New York City before John Roberts, high sheriff of New York, regarding a writ signed by King, John Watson, William Scott, Robert Manley, John Clark, George Giffing, Samuel Dunscombe, Tobias Stoutenbergh, George Brazier, David Brown, Moses Taylor and Cave Jones. The deposition was taken at the "dwelling house of Mary Brock tavern keeper near the city hall of New York..." The deposition regards the value of property lost by James Nixon.

The identity of the author, John King, is uncertain. From the contents of the letter he is thought to be the second Baron of Ockham, Surrey (d. 1740).
