This collection contains business correspondence and military commissions of James Bogert. The collection also contains the papers of other family members including John Nicholas Bogert and Nicholas Bogert, Jr. Included are genealogical records of the Bogert family, a daybook of a general store in Binghamton, N.Y., and a memorandum from Elkanah Watson in 1792 entitled, "Observations respecting the practicality of opening a western navigation as far as the Seneca Lake."
