Letter to Philip Schuyler informing him that unless Schuyler accepts his proposal of bonds as security on a land purchase their negotiations are at an end. Schuyler required that Hogeboom offer up his farm at Claverack as additional security. Written at Hudson, N.Y.

Philip John Schuyler (November 20 [O.S. November 9] 1733 – November 18, 1804) was an American general in the Revolutionary War and a United States Senator from New York. He is usually known as Philip Schuyler, while his son is usually known as Philip J. Schuyler.
