Reid and Jordan family papers, 1767-1895.

The Reid and Jordan family papers consist of legal documents, which contain land deeds and surveys, slave bills of sale, and slave appraisals; financial records, which consist mostly of cotton invoices, receipts, and statements; and personal papers, mainly in the form of correspondence all relating to their plantation holdings in Greene, Putnam, and Jasper counties, Georgia.
