Account book, 1786-1825.

Cabinetmaker and carpenter Thomas Webster recorded his business transactions on the blank pages of John Norman's The Town and Country Builder's Assistant. Entries bear dates from 1793-1825 and indicate that Webster framed windows and made sashes as well as making coffins, beds, chairs, tables, chests, and troughs. He also repaired sleighs and sold related items such as whippletrees. Webster built looms for himself and others, and supplemented his income by weaving as well as by selling lumber, farm produce, and livestock.
