Malcolm Vendig papers relating to post-liberation Dachau diaries reports articles memoranda transcripts of discussions.

Consists of daily reports, war diaries, and memorandums (some copies and some originals) produced by Capt. Malcolm A. Vendig while serving in World War II and later as military governor of the Landkreis Dachau. Among topics discussed in the collection are the activities of the 83rd US Infantry Division before liberation, operations of the concentration camp after liberation, the administration of public safety, the distribution of food in the area, and the restart of industry in the area.
