Magnolia Sketch Book

1829-1908

Bound collection assembled by Bray of 39 landscape and figure sketches drawn on Cape Ann, Massachusetts, by William Morris Hunt and by his peers and students, including Ellen Day Hale, Susan Hale, Jane Hunt, Fitz Hugh Lane, and others. They are evidence of the artistic community of late nineteenth-century Gloucester, and they reflect the influence of Hunt's teaching on his students.
