Photostatic copies of 10 letters written by Marsh as sub-agent to the Dakota Indians in the Fort Snelling area (1825) and sub-agent to the Winnebagoes at Prairie du Chien (1826-1828); and copies of research letters and notes (1925-1929) sent by the Minnesota Historical Society to George D.
