Walter B. Jones was the son of Alabama governor (1890-1894) and U.S. District Judge, Thomas Goode Jones. Walter Jones was a member of the Alabama House of Representatives (1919-1920) and a circuit judge in Alabama (1920-1935). He was a columnist for the Montgomery Advertiser and a state commander of the Sons of Confederate Veterans.
